Meet Bill Kusznirczuk

Managing Director

Bill Kusznirczuk is a leading Urban and Regional Planner in Australia. He has extensive experience and knowledge in all aspects of planning, building, property development and how cities, regional and rural areas should look in the future. He is the founder and Managing Director of the firm which has a long and respected tradition of providing professional advice in these fields.

He is the former Chair of the Building Advisory Council and was appointed as the inaugural Chairman and Chief Commissioner of the Victorian Building Authority (VBA) in 2013. Bill has been a Board Member of the Growth Areas Authority (GAA), Metropolitan Planning Authority (MPA), Deputy Chairman of the newly established Victorian Planning Authority (VPA), and Chair of the Executive Remuneration, People and Culture Committee. Bill was an Advisory Board Member for the Office of Projects Victoria (OPV) and was appointed by the Treasurer and the Planning, Housing and Multi-cultural Affairs Minister to review and provide advice on changes to the Victorian Building and Planning Regulations.

Bill is currently a Trustee of the Melbourne and Olympic Parks Trust (MOPT) and is Deputy Chair, of the Victorian Rail Track (VicTrack).

His valuable industry experience puts him at the forefront of advisors across Australia.

He is a Certified Practicing Planner as recognised by the Planning Institute of Australia (PIA) and is an Associate Fellow of the Australia Institute of Management.

Bill is sought as a regular commentator on radio, TV and in print media.

Bill also brings his expertise in strategic and business planning, project positioning approval strategies, project management, and facilitation of major infrastructure projects, stakeholder engagement, finance, risk and corporate governance.

He has strong decision making and judgement skills and experience working with stakeholders in complex environments. He also provides his knowledge to the community, charities and on not-for-profit Boards, and has a history of successfully representing residents against inappropriate developments.

Meet Matthew Butler

Senior Urban & Regional Planner

Matthew provides clients with his skills and experience managing all aspects of statutory planning and building processes. Matthew navigates the coordination of planning permit applications, planning scheme amendments and planning and building approvals His experience extends to residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional projects in metropolitan Melbourne, as well as regional Victoria.

Matthew provides his expertise in representation and advocacy at the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT) on behalf of Council, permit applicants and resident objectors. He has successfully represented resident objectors against inappropriate development, as well as successfully represented permit applicants to overturn unfair Council decisions.

He is experienced in statutory and strategic planning, stakeholder consultation, and specialises in a diverse range of land use and development projects across residential, commercial, industrial and agricultural land.

Matthew is involved in a number of affordable and social housing projects and the procurement of surplus government land as part of the State Government’s Homes for Victorians strategy.

Matthew holds a bachelor’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning (with Honours) from RMIT University, and is a member of the Victorian Planning and Environmental Law Association (VPELA).

Meet Daniel Hadzikan

Urban & Regional Planner

Daniel has a sound understanding of planning schemes, with strong technical knowledge of statutory and strategic planning. He provides his expertise in due-diligence and feasibility projects, objections to inappropriate development, and advises on a variety of project types in residential, commercial, industrial, rural and regional settings.

He uses his skills to co-ordinate the statutory approval process in planning, environment and building approvals. He provides his expert advice in housing, building, sub-division, and development in negotiating development approvals, across a variety of settings including metropolitan, regional and rural areas.

Daniel provides high quality output in representing our clients and is focused on achieving positive results.

Meet Yasemin Ahmed

Assistant Urban & Regional Planner

Yasemin assists the planning team in a variety of complex planning matters, including the reviewing of site and land use plans, due diligence audits and the provision of planning advice. Yasemin maintains a positive working relationship with our clients, and public sector stakeholders and the wider community.

The understanding of acts, regulations, and local laws relating to planning, building and development issues is core to her role within our firm. Yasemin is organised, focused and has excellent problem-solving skills all based on a positive client-oriented attitude.

Katrin is responsible for establishing and executing internal controls over the company’s human resources, accounting and financial procedures.

Katrin is on the Board of Chess Victoria and as a dual World Chess Champion she is also recognised as a FIDE Master by the Fédération des Échecs (World Chess Federation).
